Bought an Acer Aspire 35 days ago. It has not been out of the house or abused, dropped etc. The screen is cracked on the inside lower corner – Called Fry’s Electronics where I bought it – even with an extended warranty they will not fix it. Acer – same response! Checked online and found out that is a very common problem with Acer laptops – The company knows there is a manufacturing problem but refuses to resolve the issue with their screens. They man who got a refund had to take them to court.
If you had properly researched this Acer product before you gave it such a great review, you would have known about the problems with cracking screens and all the customers who have been stuck with this faulty product.
It costs $186.00 for a replacement screen for a $400.00 laptop! (not including labor)
