Pownce Has Moved To Six Apart

Today I received an email from Pownce saying that Pownce is shutting down. Here is the email:

We are sad to announce that Pownce is shutting down on December 15,
2008. As of today, Pownce will no longer be accepting new users or new
pro accounts.

To help with your transition, we have built an export tool so you can
save your content. You can find the export tool at Settings > Export.
Please export your content by December 15, 2008, as the site will not
be accessible after this date.

The Pownce Crew

Pownce is a mini blog platform just like Twitter, but personally, I use it more frequently than Twitter, so Pownce is Dying is a very bad news for me.

In fact, it is not so surprise to hear the news. I had predicted its fate before. Site like Twitter, Pownce is very difficult to monetize, so the death is quite reasonable, especially now we are facing serious global financial crisis, no wonder so many websites are shutting down. The good news for Pownce is Six Apart acquires it other than shut down forever. But now we have known how will Six Apart develop Pownce.

Now I'm waiting for good news from Six Apart and Pownce and I hope I can continue use Pownce in Six Apart.
