You may be strange to hear that someone hate internet. The true reason they hate internet is that they know nothing about internet. They don't know what VOIP is, they know nothing about CAT5e either. They totally live ouside internet world. This is really a cruel thing.
I know why we hate something, because we know nothing them, if we try to be close to them, we will begin to love them. This is human nature.
For internet, no one can say it is a bad creation, because it is a creation a society progress, and it is benefiting all of us. This is my view to internet.
