New MacBook Air gets upgraded

MacBook Air

As the lightest laptop in the world, MacBook Air finally gets upgraded! Apple released it at Back to the Mac few days ago. It comes with two sizes: 11.6″ and 13.3″ (the old MacBook Air has only one size, 13.3″ ). This is only one upgrade. They're also focusing on a 13.3-inch screen, running at a 1440 x 900 resolution (with an 11.6-inch “little brother” to boot). It comes equipped with SSD storage, a 1.86GHz or 2.13GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM standard, and GeForce 320m graphics. The storage can be chosen from 128GB to 256GB (not enough for me, apparently). It's 0.68-inches thick at its thickest, 0.11-inches at its thinnest, and weighs 2.9 pounds (the old one was 0.76-inches thick and weighed 3 pounds). Very convenient to take it anywhere with you.

Another change is battery life, up to 5 hours for 11.6″ model and 7 hours for 13.3″ model, although not as long as MacBook Pro 13.3″, which supports up to 10 hours of battery life, it's already good enough for our daily use.

Prices start at $1,299 for 128GB and $1,599 for 256GB of storage, they're already available for order now.

Now let's watch a video about the MacBook Air 2010.

Well, what do you think about the new MacBook Air, does it disappoint you or not?
