Chinese New Year Parade San Francisco 2009 is such a big event that many people from all over the world are now paying high attention. Not only is it a parade, but also it is a very business opportunity, and it is also a wonderful performance that you should miss this year. This year’s Chinese New Year Parade San Francisco is different from other years. You know we are now facing global finacial crisis, so 2009 Chinese New Year Parade San Francisco could be a very effective stimulus for our lives.
Chinese New Year Parade is an annual tradition in San Francisco. Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is the largest celebration of its kind outside of Asia. Parade highlights include elaborate floats, lion dancers, folk dancers, costumed elementary school groups, marching bands, stilt walkers, Chinese acrobats, and a 201 foot long Golden dragon, (”Gum Lung.”). The event also features the newly crowned Miss Chinatown U.S.A. and her court. This year many of the floats and specialty units will feature the theme of the Year of the Ox: 2009.

The annual San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade took take place on February 7, 2009. It’s time to get all the plans settled upon and start getting ready for one of the most spectacular parades on the planet. You can free to join the congenial crowds and watch the parade floats, extravagant costumes, firecrackers, and local color on the streets.
Time: February 7, 2009 from 5:15pm to 8:00pm. Or go early and watch traditional and modern entertainers perform at the Chinatown Community Street Fair, Saturday, February 7, 2009, 10 am – 4:30 pm. The fair is also open on Sunday, February 8, 2009, 9 am – 5 pm. Can’t stand crowds? Tune in to watch the parade on KTVU Fox 2 or KTSF Channel 26, 6:00-8:00 pm.
Place: Starts on Market, goes up Geary, down Post and ends on Kearny at Columbus

Since the 1860’s the parade has combined the 5,000-year-old traditions of the Lantern Festival along with a good old American parade. It is one of the few remaining lighted nighttime parades in the country and (counting both the people watching along the parade route and the television viewers) is the most watched parade on Earth.It is also the largest celebration of Asian culture outside of Asia. You’re going to have to hop a flight to Shanghai, Hong Kong or Beijing to see a bigger celebration.

Atlantic City Boat Show 2009 started from February 4 to 8, this is a big event this year, now many eyes are watching this great boat show. Atlantic City is full of joy, people are excited to talk about it.
The 5 day Atlantic City Power Boat Show promises to be one of the biggest and best boat shows in the North East this winter. More than 750 power boats and luxury yachts of all sizes and models will be on display for viewing.
You can see that this show isn’t all about boats. There are almost 450 exhibitors selling products like boating supplies, fishing gear, magazines, inflatables, cushions, canvas, electronics, GPS & software, clothing & foul weather gear, wetsuits and sunglasses. And if you do happen to succumb to the temptation, there are plenty of finance companies, insurance companies and marinas available to finalize your boating dreams. So it must be a very wonderful boat show in Atlantic City this year.

These years it seems more and more people begin to love pets, especially dogs. Westminster Dog Show becomes a very big event these days, people are talking much about it. So what on earth is Westminster Dog Show?
According to Wikipedia, “The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is a two-day benched conformation show that takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City every year. Dog owners from around the world come to show their dogs. Dogs are judged closely by eminent American Kennel Club (AKC) judges. It is considered by many to be America’s most prestigious dog show. ”

This year’s dog show was on Monday and Tuesday, February 9-10, 2009 Madison Square Garden Center, 7th to 8th Avenues and 31st to 33rd Streets, New York. CityWestminster Dog Show 2009 is hotter than other years, there were many people join this great event. According to ABC News, Uno, the barking beagle became the first of his breed to ever win the coveted best in show prize at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Despite the popularity of beagles in the U.S., none has ever won the top spot in the 100 year history of the prize. Uno strikes a pose with handler Aaron Wilkerson Tuesday night, after winning best in show at the 132nd Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
